Brown Bear

HABITAT:

Mountain forests, open meadows and large river valleys.

DESCRIPTION:

Either called a brown bear or grizzly bear, it is the same bear. It is the same bear that lives all around in Asia, Europe and North America, it's still the same bear! The name "grizzly" comes from the silver tipped grizzled hairs that these brown bears get as they get older.

THREATS:

Long ago it was hunting, but now it's loss of wilderness due to human use for recreation.
