HABITAT:
South of Ethiopia in the Savannas and the mountainsides.
DESCRIPTION:
The rhino is the second largest land mammal, growing to a shoulder height of
1.5 to 1.85 m, and a length of 3.35 to 4.2 m. A rhino can weigh up to 5000 kg.
It is characterized by twin horns and a long, pointed, prehensile upper lip.
THREATS:
Hunting for supposedly"medicinal" purposes of its horns and habitat loss.
